Transport Canada Introduces New Rail Safety Measures

On December 22, 2017 a CN foreman was killed due to an uncontrolled movement of rail cars while performing switching operations at their Melville SK yard.  An investigation followed by the Transportation Safety Board of Canada.  Based on those recommendations the Federal Government has created a Ministerial Order that requires the rail industry to adopt new safety measures for employees when conducting switching operations.       …read more
