Plastic Finds New Life as Low-Sulphur Oil

With the help from many transportation providers Beach Environmental Awareness Campaign Hawaii (B.E.A.C.H) a non-profit, collected over 1-million plastic caps and lids and shipped them to Texas to be converted into oil.  The founders spear-headed this campaign to educate people about the harmful impact of these plastics to Hawaii’s sea birds.  The oil that is produced is low in sulphur which is perfect for use in trains and ships.
