US Shutdown affects the Transportation Industry
Canadian companies that export goods to the United States are getting prepared for possible border delays and a drop in sales orders from their American customers as the battle over spending in Washington continues. With the US being Canada’s biggest trading partner, concern is growing over the idea that many industries may be shut down or operating at minimal levels as leaders in Washington continue to struggle to reach an agreement on the spending budget. Canada’s export number have recently been the crutch of an economy that is trying to rebuild since the 2008 recession.
