Feds approve funding for improvements at Lacolle border crossing
Ottawa has announced Federal funding to update the Lacolle border crossing. The government will invest $47 million in improvements on infrastructure, critical for the Canada – U.S trade. The Lacolle Quebec and Champlain New York bridge shared in over $21 billion in trade in 2012. The modernizing of the Lacolle bridge is one of the key border crossings noted in the Beyond the Borders Plan established with the United States. The end goal to accomplish secure, fair and prosperous trade between our two countries
