We have worked with SFL since September 2007 and during this time period they have handled over 800 loads for us. They have shown that they are more than capable of securing the correct equipment for our loads, whether it be a single load or multiple loads to a project site. During this period, they have coordinated numerous oversized, and overweight loads to and from Canada, Mexico and the United States on our behalf. As a manufacturer of industrial boilers, pressure vessels and complex heavy fabrications, we must have competent, reliable contractors, handling our shipments from our vendors and to our customer’s jobsites, as every project is important to us. They are proficient at securing the correct type of equipment for us, whether it be a single load or an entire project to site. During this period, they have moved a load to Canada which was 21’ wide and loads as heavy as 98,000 lbs. As a supplier of industrial boilers, it is imperative that we work with carriers and brokers that understand our requirements. This letter is regarding my experiences dealing with Stephen Frederick Logistics in general, and Colleen Fenton in particular. Our company has been using Stephen Frederick Logistics to move our steel plate freight since 2004. We have dealt with Colleen for that entire time. She and her team are professional, prompt and communicative. We have eight stocking locations located throughout the United States and Canada. Colleen seems to have an inexhaustible network of carriers so that it is a very rare occasion when she is unable to cover a load, short or long haul – even when delivery destinations are remote, require coordinated delivery, or change at the last minute. Over the years we have checked her pricing regularly against other brokers and she more often than not comes out as the less expensive option. We also compare her costs vs. dealing directly with individual carriers. Although we may be able to procure cheaper rates at times by dealing directly with those carriers, any minor savings that might be realized are more than compensated for by the time and energy we save by allowing Colleen to arrange the freight for us. Any costs associated with using Stephen Frederick logistics seem a bargain when compared to the level of service we receive from them. The bottom line is that we have found that Stephen Frederick Logistics via Colleen and her team consistently deliver when it comes to moving our freight promptly at competitive pricing. They truly stand out versus their competition.
