Booming car industry, in Thailand

An interesting article in The Economist refers to Thailand as being the new “Detroit of the East“.   The country is offering tax cuts and incentive programs positioning themselves as the 7th largest Car exporter globally.   The main three manufacturers being Toyota, Isuzu and Honda with Ford adding a plant there is 2012.  The question now remains how long this will last in a country with labour shortages that could stall any plans for expansion.
